MoU Signed Between DhamakaShopping and DRRA

Dhamakashopping.com and Disabled Rehabilitation and Research Associations (DRRA) have started working together to stand by the disabled people of the country. The MoU was signed between the two organizations at an online event held at Dhamaka’s office on Wednesday.

Planning Minister MA Mannan joined online as the chief guest at the signing ceremony.

The Minister lauded the initiative of Dhamaka and DRRA and said that it was a matter of fortune to be associated with such a noble cause. I believe everyone will stand by you in this initiative. This initiative is a reflection of Digital Bangladesh through mobile devices. People with disabilities will be able to change their destiny soon by using this app. I hope that Dhamaka and DRRA will continue to work together to improve the quality of life of persons with disabilities.

Also present on the occasion was SMD Jasim Uddin Chishti, Managing Director, DhamakashShopping.com. Dhamaka Chief Operating Officer Sirajul Islam Rana. DRRA was represented by Executive Director Farida Yasmin and DRRA Advisor Swapna Reza.

SMD Jasim Uddin Chishti, managing director of DhamakashShopping.com, said DRRA is working for the welfare of the disabled people of the country. From now on, we want to stand by the marginalized people with the help of DRRA through Dhamaka Entrepreneur App. Through our app, rural and marginalized entrepreneurs with disabilities can easily connect.

“We call the disabled mothers,” she said. Only those with National Identity Card or Chairman Certificate or Entrepreneur Certificate of Postal Department can join here and do business online through the app. There is also an opportunity to earn money by delivering ordered products in their respective areas.

Farida Yasmin, Executive Director of DRRA, said that DRRA has been with people with disabilities for 25 years for community-based rehabilitation. We are working to make them self-reliant with education and health. Dhamaka is giving a grant of Tk 10 lakh as food aid for the people with disabilities during the Corona epidemic and Ramadan. We want to develop people with disabilities as entrepreneurs through the Dhamaka Entrepreneur App in the coming days.
